How It Actually Works
Most online tools ask you to upload a file, wait while their server does the work, then download the result. Mavertex skips the middle step entirely — which is both faster and the reason your files stay private.
You pick a file
Drag it in or browse for it. At this point the file is loaded into your browser's memory — the same way opening a photo works. It has not been sent anywhere.
Your device does the work
The processing runs as code inside the page, on your own machine. There is no queue, no round trip, and no copy of your file sitting on someone else's hard drive.
You download the result
The finished file is generated locally and saved straight to your device. Close the tab and nothing remains — there is no history for us to keep.
The honest exception:a few tools genuinely can't work this way. Looking up a domain, translating text, or generating downloadable speech all need to reach an outside service, so those requests do leave your device. Each of those pages says so directly rather than claiming otherwise.

Is this really free, and what's the catch?↓
It's free with no tiers, no file size caps, and no watermarks. The site is paid for by advertising, which is the honest answer to "what's the catch" — there are ads on the page, and Google may use cookies to choose which ones you see. Nothing is held back behind a payment.
Do my files get uploaded anywhere?↓
For most tools, no — the work happens inside your browser and the file never leaves your device. A small number genuinely need an outside service to function, such as looking up a domain or translating text. Those pages say so directly, rather than claiming to be private when they aren't.
Do I need an account?↓
No, and there isn't one to create. There's no sign-up, no email address, and no saved history of what you've processed. Open a page, do the thing, close the tab.
Can I use the output commercially?↓
Yes. Invoices, QR codes, barcodes, resized images, and converted documents are yours to use however you like, including for paid client work. Nothing is watermarked and there is no attribution requirement.

Any current browser — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari, on desktop or mobile. A couple of tools lean on newer browser features: dictation is most reliable in Chrome and Edge, and camera-based scanning needs permission to use your camera.
