How it works

This is an extractivesummarizer. It counts how often each meaningful word appears, scores every sentence on the words it contains, and keeps the highest scoring ones in their original order. Because it selects sentences rather than rewriting them, the summary always uses the author's exact words and cannot invent a claim the source never made — the failure mode of AI summarizers that generate new text. Everything happens in your browser as you type, so your text is never uploaded.

Read Less, Understand More

Statistical sentence scoring that runs entirely in your browser — no model to download, no waiting, and the summary uses the author's own sentences.

Automated Condensation

Stop skimming long documents by hand. Paste the text and the most information-dense sentences are pulled out for you, in the order the author wrote them.

Configurable Output

Adjust your target parameter length. Generate a short hook for a newsletter intro or produce a detailed "Executive Summary" for a comprehensive pitch.

Zero-Data Retention

We know documents matter. By leveraging advanced Web-LLM protocols, the article processing executes on your device. We store absolutely nothing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the summary generated?

It counts how often each meaningful word appears in your text, ignoring filler words like "the" and "and", then scores every sentence by the words it contains. The highest-scoring sentences are kept in their original order. Sentences near the start get a small boost, since most writing states its point early.

Does it rewrite my text or reuse it?

It reuses it. This is an extractive summarizer, so every sentence in the output appears verbatim in your input. That is a deliberate choice: summarizers that generate new wording read more smoothly but can state things the source never said, which is a poor trade when you are summarizing something you need to be accurate.

Is there a maximum input length?

No practical limit. The whole thing is straightforward text processing rather than a neural network, so even a very long report is summarized in milliseconds without loading your device's memory.

Is my text sent to a server or used for AI training?

No. The summarizer is a few dozen lines of JavaScript running inside the page you already loaded. Your text never leaves your browser, is never logged, and there is no model or service on our side that could be trained on it.

Why does it summarize as I type, with no button?

Because it is fast enough not to need one. There is no model to download and no request to send, so results appear as fast as you can paste. Adjusting the Short, Medium, or Long setting re-summarizes instantly too.

When does it work poorly?

It works best on structured prose — articles, reports, essays — where sentences carry self-contained points. It does less well on dialogue, poetry, bulleted fragments, or text where the meaning depends on the order of every sentence, because pulling sentences out of such writing loses the thread.
